Administrative Assistant

As a dedicated and detail-oriented individual, you will be responsible for various clerical and administrative tasks, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in your work. Your proficiency in PDF software and Microsoft Office, coupled with a willingness to embrace new technologies, will contribute significantly to improving business processes. Assistant Project Manager

The right individual should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar. Will report to Project Manager or other Middle Management. Exposure to both Field Operations, as well as In-Office. Responsibilities will included, but are not limited to, Attending Owners Meetings, Administering Submittals, Updating Schedules/Lookaheads, Coordination of Subcontractors, Providing Job Updates, Management of Payment Documentation, etc 12 months experience required

Building Information Modeler (BIM)

Has strong AutoCAD & BIM360 skills, 6+ years of experience required; Must have validated experience in building design and construction industry.

CDL Class A Cement Tanker Driver

Drives company trucks to destinations and operates equipment to transport cement. Prior Experience preferred.

CDL Class A Concrete Truck Driver

Drives company trucks to destinations and operates equipment to transport cement. Prior Experience preferred.

Civil Estimator

Prepares detailed estimates for Civil Projects based on construction drawings and specifications. Responsible for the communication of bids and scopes of work to supervisors. Minimum 5 years of experience with roads, bridges. Experience with NYSDOT, NYCDOT, and MTA (a plus). Excavation and Support of Excavation experience for large-scale foundation a also be a plus.

Field Engineer

2 years experience building civil utility projects in the New York/New Jersey Area. Attended meetings with the clients, subcontractors, and government agencies. Completed RFIs, change orders, submittals, budgets, schedules, purchase orders, material inventory, and other construction documents. Proficient with Bluebeam, Microsoft Suite, and Penta Software. Oversaw the subcontractors work to ensure it is done safely, to spec, and on time.

Internship

Seeking a highly talented, motivated and self-driven Construction Industry Intern to be based in NYC/Nassau County area. Reports to the Project Manager, Project Superintendent or other Middle Manager. The Peter Scalamandre & Sons, Inc. internship program provides students the opportunity to immerse themselves in their field of study, while participating in ongoing Civil & Heavy Construction contracts. Program participants will gain highly valuable career related work experience with an industry leading company, while creating the link between student's educational goals and future employment opportunities.

Professional Engineer

Licensed PE. with a minimum of 3 years of construction experience in civil and structural work

Project Cost Engineer

At least 5 years of commercial construction experience required. Contract Administrator with change orders proposals, change orders, and claims. Prepare and track change orders and requisitions including high level estimating, subcontractor proposal review, proficiency in change order narrative writing, subcontractor invoicing, payment processing, certified payroll documentation, AIA requisitions etc. Prepares independent estimates on change proposals and new directives, and recommends an equitable adjustment per contract specifications and requirements. Experience with construction documentation (change order preparation, subcontractor invoicing, payment processing, certified payroll documentation, AIA requisitions etc.) Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and Adobe PDF/Bluebeam. Proficiency in CPM schedule review is a plus. The offered rate of compensation in New York City will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Quality Control Manager

At least 5 years of commercial construction experience required. Responsibilities include Design-Build Project QC experience preferred Develop and implement project-specific quality control; General understanding and the ability to navigate Drawings and Specifications; Inspect and evaluate work areas according to plans, specifications, and contract documents; Review Fabricator and Vendor Shop Drawings to assure compliance; Create and/or assist in development of a Submittal Log; Coordinate with subcontractors on quality control; Review of all Subcontractor and Supplier Submittals for Quality Control Approval; Conduct three-phase inspections; Document daily quality control reports; Verify materials and equipment compliance; Maintain As-Built Drawings Set; Review safety plans and conduct safety inspections. MTA and/or NYCDDC experience preferred ; NYC DOB and DDC experience preferred.

Safety Manager

Seeking an experienced on-site safety manager to join our Joint Venture supervision team for a long-term LIRR station upgrade contract. Initial assignment is on a 2.5 – 3-year design/build project. Preferably a Long Island resident, but not mandatory. Minimum 5 years of field safety experience required. Strong preference for candidates with at least 10 years of experience working with union locals. Experience with MTA and/or LIRR preferred, but not mandatory. Responsibilities include overseeing site demo, piling, shoring, foundations, steel, elevators, escalators, and architectural finishes. Immediate opportunity available. Superintendent for MTA, NYCT and/or LIRR

Coordinate operations and oversee workers at construction sites. Act as point of reference of both workers and supervisors, you will be a key person for the completion of a project. Experience with MTA, LIRR, NYCT expected.
