59TH Street Avenue H MTA Station

WE COMPLETED THE WORK FOR 59TH STREET STATION ONE YEAR EARLIER THAN SCHEDULED.

WE OPENED THE MEZZANNINE TO THE PUBLIC IN NINE MONTHS AND RECEIVED THE MAXIMUM BONUS FOR THIS WORK.

The Work performed under this contract consists of ADA compliance for three Elevators # 387, # 388 & # 389 at 59th Street Station, 4th Avenue Line (BMT) in the Borough of Brooklyn.

Scalamandre worked at a fully functioning station during the construction process, along with the continuous traffic flow at a street level.

Install Elevator# 387 from Street Level to Mezzanine level.

Remove existing stairs S3 and S5. Install new ADA Compliant Stair S3AB/M3AB from Street to Mezzanine level.

Relocate utilities impacted by Water, Gas, Verizon and Sewer work.

Expand full-time control area on North and South bound of existing Mezzanine. Expand and reconfigure Public Facilities to the south of existing Mezzanine floor and construction of Employee Facilities and Elevator Machine Rooms to the north side of existing Mezzanine.

Install ADA Ramp at Mezzanine level to access two new Elevators # 388 & # 389.

Install two new Elevators # 388 & # 389 from Mezzanine to platform level on south Mezzanine.

Install Venting at Median.

Platform stairs: Remove existing stairs P3 and P4, reconfigure and provide ADA compliant Stair on NB and SB platforms.

Rehabilitate existing stair to ADA compliance at NB and SB Platform. Provide Ejector pump room in closet below existing stair at SB Platform.

Avenue H Station:

Installation of ADA ramp for the northbound platform of Avenue H Station (Brighton Line Q) in the Borough of Brooklyn and make it ADA accessible. Work includes installing Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) turnstiles and a wheelchair accessible, agent operated door.
